Foldable smartphones are likely to become reality by 2019 as several manufacturers have officially confirmed their progress on such devices. On the other hand, LG has not given any official statement about this innovation. However, if we believe on some movement going on in the company’s manufacturing hub, it has no intention of missing out the race. It has been rumored that LG may present a foldable screen smartphone at the next year’s CES technology event in Las Vegas.
Evan Blass, American blogger, editor, and phone leaker said: LG has plans to unveil a foldable phone at its 2019 CES, he didn’t provide any further details on the device but was sure on the LG plans. LG has long been at the forefront of flexible screen technology, validating the rumor to a certain extent.
The incident was first reported by Digital Trends, who spoke to Ken Hong, LG’s head of global corporate communications, to get an official response. However, he denied to comment on rumors and speculation, but said: “Anything is possible at CES.”
After years of wait, foldable smartphones are just around the corner. LG is said to be one of the companies to dominate the foldable screen market worldwide, in the first half of 2019. The exact release date of LG’s foldable device still remains unclear, but according to phone leaker Evan Blass, LG’s first foldable smartphone will make its debut in January at CES 2019 in Las Vegas.
On the other hand, Samsung and Huawei have confirmed folding smartphone screen plans; but nothing has stated about when they will launch their products in the market. Whereas, CES 2019 will begin from January 8, 2019, and may see the launch of LG’s foldable smartphone screen.
