On Monday, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 6T worldwide. The phone is the latest version of its flagship OnePlus 6 and the launch, which took place in New York City, also saw the unveiling of the OnePlus Type-C Bullets earphones valued at USD 19. The OnePlus 6T is valued at USD 549 for the 6GB/128GB version, while the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants cost USD 579 and USD 629 respectively.
OnePlus 6T is the latest upgrade in the series of OnePlus 6, which was launched in May this year. The OnePlus 6T has a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display at the front with a resolution of 2340×1080. It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with Adreno 630 GPU, equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage, and more. The phone features a teardrop notch which helps it attain a higher screen-to-body ratio when compared to the OnePlus 6. Protecting the display is Corning’s new Gorilla Glass 6 which was launched earlier this year.
The phone features the same glass-sandwich design present on the OnePlus 6, but without a fingerprint scanner interrupting the back of the phone. Instead, the phone has an in-display fingerprint scanner underneath the screen.
The One Plus 6T will run Android 9.0 Pie, and come with a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and 20-megapixel secondary sensor. The selfie camera is of 20-megapixel.
The upgraded software has also seen some end of things and some new updates, for instance, the gesture controls have been updated. There’s recently added gesture that allows quick access to view your recent apps. The software update also aims at increased battery life and has introduced some digital well-being features. The phone is expected to be a good phone at favourable prices.
